My approach to therapy begins by creating welcoming and honest space in which I can get to know my clients as people. I strive to collaboratively explore their challenges and difficulties, as well as their joys and successes. I believe deeply in each person’s capacity for resilience and healing. I believe that healing happens in supportive relationships. I enjoy building such connections with clients to support them working towards becoming the version of themselves they want to be.
My work is grounded in relational and psychodynamic theories. I believe that exploring past and current relationships can provide opportunities for growth, healing, and positive experiences. I believe that every individual client is unique, and that no single approach will be universally effective. Because of this, I shape my approach to each client’s needs.My areas of clinical interest and experience include navigating relationship challenges, making sense of painful or difficult childhood experiences, anxiety, depression, body image issues, trauma, abuse, and neglect. I have experience working with clients of all genders around issues related to gender, sexuality, and sexual health.
