Many people choose to enter therapy to gain a deeper understanding of themselves – their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in addition to reducing distressing symptoms, and resolving problems in their personal relationships. Oftentimes, the issues we face in the present stem from painful experiences in the past. As a result of these experiences, we develop ways of coping in the world – some continue to serve us well and others may get in the way of us living a more satisfying and fulfilling life. I offer a warm, non-judgmental, and safe environment for exploration, healing, and growth.
I work with individuals and couples who are dealing with a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, grief, shame, and relationship issues. I also specialize in the treatment of complex trauma and have extensive training, supervision, and experience working with dissociative disorders.
My goal is to create a secure therapeutic relationship in which you feel seen, heard, valued, and empowered. I take a collaborative approach and will work with you on identifying your goals in the present and for your future self.
I am trained in EMDR, Clinical Hypnosis, IFS/Ego State/”parts of self” work, and Deep Brain Reorienting. I am a certified Relational Psychoanalyst through the Institute of Relational Psychoanalysis of Philadelphia.
